The short version: the styling is free, it’s free to try, and your wardrobe is yours. You only pay if you want more wardrobe space, which is a one-off purchase you keep forever, or the deeper features in a Modebase membership. No fine print. Here are the questions people ask most.
Yes. You can download your wardrobe images any time, free.
Yes, forever. The Capsule plan is free to try, with no card. It holds 10 pieces, and the styling itself is free: building your wardrobe, outfit ideas, honest fit checks, planning and sharing. On the free plan you can upload 10 pieces in all, and deleting a piece frees its space for a new one up to 2 times. You only pay when you want more room and new pieces each month, and that is a membership, not a one-off: Wardrobe (US$9.99 a month, or US$99 a year) adds 100 new pieces a month, and holds up to 500; Collection (US$24.99 a month, or US$249 a year) adds 200 new pieces a month, and holds up to 1,000. Pay yearly and you get your allowance up front: Wardrobe opens all 500 pieces on day one, and Collection opens 500, then 150 more every month, up to 1,000. You can cancel anytime.
Modebase runs on the web today, and a mobile app is in development. Your account and wardrobe stay the same across both.
You can export everything first. After that, your photos and data are deleted. Nothing is quietly kept, and nothing is ever sold.
No, never. Your photos are used to build your wardrobe and style your outfits, and nothing else. They are not used to train any model. You can read the detail in our Privacy Policy.
It styles what you already own, first and always. Modebase exists to make the most of your wardrobe, not to sell you more clothes. It is not a shop, and it has no reason to steer you toward buying.
