Connecting Modebase
Add your wardrobe as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, or any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so you can ask it about your closet directly.
Setup
- In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste this server URL:
https://www.askanouk.com/api/mcp - You'll be sent here to sign in (if you aren't already) and choose which permissions to grant.
- Approve, and you're connected - ask Claude about your wardrobe.
Manage or revoke a connection anytime from Connections in the app.
What it can do
Permission is granted per group, shown on the consent screen when you connect:
- View your wardrobe - search items, get full item details, wardrobe composition, wear history, goals and style direction, saved inspirations.
- Add new items - add a garment by uploading a photo in your catalogue on the Modebase site.
- Save outfits, wears, and notes - save an outfit combination, log a day's wear, or record feedback.
An assistant can never edit or delete an existing item - only you can, in the app.
